Hospital chaplains have provided support to patients and their families when they have been vulnerable, and prison chaplains at Arohata and Rimutaka prisons have provided spiritual and emotional support as a well as a “listening ear”.

Our healthcare coordinator has provided support to the clergy of the Archdiocese, while our community organiser has led the Archdiocese response to the Kaikōura/Marlborough earthquake.

Catholic social services (CSS) has worked alongisde the Anglican Diocese of Wellington, the Red Cross and numerous parish and community groups to set-up homes for former refugees arriving in Wellington, including the collection of household and pantry items.
