Collecting household and pantry items for refugee arrivals

Every two months, Catholic Social Services works with parishes and other groups in the community to prepare homes for former refugees settling in Wellington.  We are always looking for groups to take responsibility for collecting items for household and pantry packs:

Household packs: Collecting items from a prepared list for a specific household. These include kitchen items, bedding, bathroom and laundry items.  They also include age appropriate toys, books and games for families with children.  We are seeking goods that are new or good quality second hand.

Pantry packs: Collecting items from a prepared list to ensure a basic supply of non-perishable pantry staples when families arrive.
